St. Luke’s United Methodist Church

Our mission is to feed souls, grow faith in God, and make a difference in the lives of our congregation, our neighbors, and our world.

Here at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Dubuque, IA, you will find many different ways to honor God and grow in your personal relationship with Christ. Ministering to others does not always mean leading prayer –  you can minister through your presence, service, and fellowship. We invite and encourage you to use and share your gifts and faith by making God’s call into service an active part of your life.

Ministry Areas

  • Invitation and Welcome: This team seeks to engage people in the life of St. Luke’s as well as promote nurturing and fellowship.

  • Celebration and Worship: This group shares the good news, leads others in prayer and worship; and calls one and all to Christian commitment.

  • Member Care and Compassion: This organization of volunteers focuses on the church family; offering special ministries for life’s circumstances, such as visitations to the homebound.

  • Spiritual Growth and Discipleship: This team educates persons of all ages in the faith, calling them to grow in their spiritual lives and encourages them to follow Christ.

  • Witness and Service: This team carries the word to the world through service and mission.

  • Stewardship: Leading the congregation of St. Luke’s into the meaning of Christian stewardship of our time, talent and treasure.

Soloists, vocal and instrumental, as well as small groups are always welcome to share their musical talents at our worship services at. St. Luke’s.
